I have been retired from The US Navy since 2009. I have always had a passion for helping others improve their lives and after taking classes at CPCC in Charlotte, NC I thought counseling was a good fit for me. I love seeing when someone is able to use the tools given to them to build a life they can be proud of. I have a great understanding of how addiction not only impacts the person but also their families. I want to help our clients develop the tools, so they can have sustained long-term recovery. I want them to feel safe and supported while they are with me.
I have my Bachelor's degree from Liberty University in Psychology: Addiction and Recovery. I received my Masters's degree from Grand Canyon University in 2020 in Addiction Counseling. I am currently LCAS and CCS-Intern with the NC Substance Abuse Board. I have been working in addiction in some capacity since 2010. I have worked at various Facility Based Crisis Centers/Detox, and work for DPS Women's Treatment Program in Black Mountain, NC. Prior to being employed with Carolina Recovery Solutions, I was a counselor, senior counselor, and Clinical Director at MAT treatment facility Crossroads Treatment Centers of Weaverville for the last 5 years.
